Tool Room Attendant

The Tool Room Attendant receives, stores, records, and issues tools and is responsible for maintaining records of tools and equipment issued and returned manually or by using the computer. This position will also have various tasks on the production floor as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
  • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Clean, inspect and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas throughout the facility.
  • Coordinates repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.
  • Maintains records for individual employee tool kits assigned and inspects monthly
  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience with tool maintenance or working with mechanical equipment
  • Experience working in an industrial environment.
  • Inventory experience is Preferred
  • Must read and write in the English language and have good oral communication ability
  • Must be in good physical condition, be able to reach overhead, position self where equipment components can be accessed, climb ladders, and with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) work in a variety of conditions including those which are cold, hot, dirty, dusty, and noisy

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
