Item #Danielle Outdoor Living-Choosing a Landscape Desig
When you are choosing a professional landscape designer to work with, here are some things you should look for:
·Do they have an unique approach to creating your ultimate landscape fantasy?
·Are they able to interpret your ideas, including them into the design process or explain issues you might not have considered?
·Are they able to find a permanent solution to a landscape problem that will be a long term investment, not a band aid approach, proving to be a short time mistake?
·Can they provide the opportunity for you to enjoy a garden that has seasonal color everyday of the year, one that is relatively cold hardy, and is planned for low maintenance?
·Do they understand the need for highlighting your architecture instead of covering it up?
·Can they provide a design that uses size appropriate plants, based on a geometric pattern and one that features soft curves, instead of straight lines?
· Are they proposing a plant material that is best for your needs, and not adjusting company inventory because of overstocking, etc?
·Will the plan be easy to read and simple to execute, allowing you to install your own landscaping if desired?
·Does the design meet budgetary needs, allowing for phases if necessary?
·Does the designer work with a professional company, who can create the project and offer and/or coordinate other services?
(installation, irrigation, grass, fencing, pavers/concrete, water features, lighting, maintenance, etc.)
·Will you be provided with a “Garden Guide” to insure your continued success with your new landscaping?
